the in-between.
i live in the delicious tension of the in-between. i worship its threshold, carve my initials into the soured oak, leave my lipstick on its aperture. a goodbye kiss with a blade underneath. i love crossroads, twilights, coastlines—all the in-betweens that rupture, like a flared blood vessel, if too much pressure is applied. you have to be soft, to be patient with it. daybreak will come—and so will the sea, but in that small moment between sleep and waking, in the tiny fissure between breath and stillness, the ocean rises, the darkness hums, your hands thread together with mine, and it’ll swallow me any second— but only there, am i most alive.

all the concepts u explore are always so intriguing to me and ur wording and structure always plays into the pacing and theme and tone so well that it never fails to take me on a journey. ur an excellent poet <33
„kiss with a blade underneath” - incredible line. Lovely piece, Lia x
